HALF DAY SAMPLE CLASS COLOUR FOR LANDSCAPES PAINTING CLASS

Times 2 and 1/2 hours either 1030-1pm – or 2-430pm

COLOUR – watercolour : how to work with this wonderful medium, colour theory – to how to create depth using colour in a landscape composition. Brief introduction to compostition theory: vanishing points, the rule of 1/3’s and principal of golden section. Weather allowing, the last 45 mins of this session will be outside on the Tarka Trail.

Materials please bring along: an HB / H pencil,  small set of basic watercolours, large and small soft wash brushes, heavy cartridge – or selection of watercolour papers, any water based medium will work for this session – watercolour (or acrylic / water based oils) 2 yellows, 2 reds, 2 blues, and black as minimum, and a pallet for mixing on, small jam jars avialable to borrow  – materials are avaialable to buy in the studio.

Single half day class £45 – bring you rown materials.

This can be extended to a full day session – morning in the studio, further colour theory, composition in landscape paiting and afternoon outsite en plein air painting on the Tarks trail – do bring a pack lunch, running time 10.30am – 4.30pm, with an hour for lunch 1-2pm – £90 pp.
