A prolific and eclectic artist, she is a printmaker, painter, illustrator, and writer—essentially, a maker and arts worker.
Since 2016, Rosie has increasingly focused on artivism (art activism), challenging gender depictions through small edition mono prints like “Marigold Men” and “Sirens”. She also creates Eco Prints, a series of Japanese woodcut prints addressing environmental concerns, and a longer-term project “Plastic Beach.” Her works from these collections have been featured in international artivist and social justice exhibitions worldwide, including Miami, Berlin, and the 2024 Venice Biennale.

Rosie Burns Artist
Unique original Art from a prolific maker.
Rosie’s work often explores water, skies, and the human form, though fleeting encounters with scenes or scenarios also inspire her creations. There’s a distinct dichotomy in style and intention between her landscape and figurative pieces. Prolific in her practice, Rosie has built a large portfolio, a selection of which can be seen on her website. She lives and works in Bideford, North Devon, England, supplementing art sales with teaching and running art workshops.
