TO PRESS TO PRINT – Spring themed course:
3 week Art class looking at different print processes: introduction and information about materials and techniques to develop work based on the theme of Spring – leaves, flowers, animals and landscapes. Learn, practice, relax and enjoy a creative session with like minded people. Suitable for over 16’s years only.

Week 1  Tues 3rd March – contact printing and mono type printing – using a printing press intro
Week 2  Tues 1oth March – design and cut a small woodcut plate
Week 3 Tues 17th March – woodcut printing process, how to make an edition -& further mono printing / contact printing

£150 pp – max 5 participants
3 sessions 10.00am-1.00pm

Learn principals and techniques of creating contact prints,  monotype prints and introduction to woodcut prints, based on the theme of SPRING. Use different media to develop confidence in you own creative practice, develop skills and ideas working in a lovely studio space with a qualified and experienced Art teacher / professional Artist, a desktop printing press and large etching press are in the studio. ALL materials are provided for this course.

All materials provided – this is not unlimited – extra paper and ink available to buy. Please do bring a sketch book and pencil to make notes and draw ideas! ART MATERIALS AVAILABLE TO BUY IN THE STUDIO.

Further print sessions will be arranged – depending on the success of this course: Press Gang @ No2 – with the idea of a demo / teaching a process and pay for what you use material costs at £35 for a 3 hour session plus materials.
